Lies Sarah Palin Told Me of the Day: Sarah Palin, who brought her magical mystery tour bus to Beantown yesterday, took some time out of her busy schedule (?) to give reporters a wildly inaccurate history lesson on Boston silversmith Paul Revere and his legendary “Midnight Ride” (see above).
As Mediaite points out, Sarah Palin may have gotten her facts all wrong (and I do mean all wrong) — but so does nearly everyone else.
Revere certainly didn’t ring any bells or fire any warning shots, but neither did he shout “the British are coming.” In fact, he — along with some 40 additional riders — took care not to draw too much attention to themselves as the British were practically everywhere. And the riders’ warning to patriots would not have referred to “the British,” but rather to “the Regulars,” as the British army were known.

Sarah Palin visited Boston on her bus and proved once again that she doesn’t know the history of this country that she says she loves so much.
