Marketing Campaign of the Day: To promote the return of The Walking Dead in South Africa, a local ad company produced a (fairly realistic) fake trailer for a romantic comedy, and then showed it to a theater full of people unaware they were about to be visited by a walker.
By now you’ve probably read a couple of “Newsroom” reviews. Some of them are not very favorable, including HuffPost TV’s Maureen Ryan’s, but Maggie Furlong says “The Newsroom” might be one of Aaron Sorkin’s smartest shows.
Some contrarian argument to balance out the hate.
The show hasn’t premiered yet, but based on the previews I think it looks like it could be really good.
RIP: Ernest Borgnine, at 95: Ernest Borgnine, one of the last remaining legends of the Golden Age of Hollywood, passed away Sunday at age 95. Borgnine was a prolific television and film actor whose 200-plus credits include From Here To Eternity, The Poseidon Adventure, The Dirty Dozen, ER, McHale’s Navy and Airwolf. He won an Oscar for Best Actor in 1955 for Marty. The endearing clip above is from an appearance on Fox & Friends Live where he dispenses some sagely advice on his longevity.
In case you missed it, Jon Stewart was on The O’Reilly Factor Tuesday night to explain his reasons for agreeing to debate Bill O’Reilly. If you ask me, taking on O’Reilly will be easier than bullseyeing womp rats in a T-16.
